Is there a way I can add a day to my UT tickets now (trip in June) so that I can book that one more day of FP+?

Thanks!

You can try calling/emailing UT.
But, others have not been successful until they arrived at WDW.

Caution, once you LINK your tickets to MyDisneyExperience, they are not returnable to UT
(Returning your current tickets to UT might be the remedy to your situation.)

We are in the same boat. We currently have a 6-day park hopper purchased from Undercover Tourist and want to add an extra day. So two questions:

1. I understand we add the day AT the ticket gate of the park. How will this work with FP+ ? Should I book my FP+ for the first six days then attempt to get FP+ for the newly added (and last) day?

2. If I currently have a 6-day Park Hopper, what is the cost to add one more day with Park Hopping (no waterparks)?

1. That's one successful way to do it.
Another way to do it is to cancel the FP+ for the EASIEST-to-book park day (as in DAK)
and then, after you upgrade, re-book that DAK day.

2. $10.65 including tax.
(AFTER you have USED the ticket at least one time BEFORE doing the upgrade.)

Ahh! Thanks, Robo. I don't know why, but I always have it in my head that you have to use the tickets in consecutive days (i.e. you can't skip a day once you start your first day). I looked on Disney's site and it say you have 14 days from first use - is that true on both a 2-day hopper and, let's say a 10-day hopper?

And can you explain why I need to use the ticket once before I upgrade? Can I just enter the gates then go back out and upgrade?

1- Yes.
2- I can, but it's boring. Just do it, and be happy.
3- You can. You can go to the Guest Relations INSIDE the park (there is one in every park,) if you like.

14 day policy should be for any ticket I believe.

You need to use the ticket first because that locks it's value into current gate price. If you do not use it first and try to upgrade it you will be forced to pay the difference between the discounted price you paid for it and the actual gate value, PLUS the cost of the upgrade. By using it once first you are keeping your Undercovertourist discount. You can enter and go back out, or upgrade it at Guest Services inside the park. Twice on my last trip I made upgrades to my ticket (adding park hopper and adding a day) inside Epcot at Guest Services and it went very smoothly (my ticket was also from Undercover Tourist).

Thanks, Robo and DisneyBelle for the great info. We've been to Disney close to 20 times and this is a first for me; I appreciate the help!

I will be in Disney for 10 days and already purchased 6 day base tickets from Undercover Tourist. I really would only be interested in park hopping on 2 days out of my stay. Wouldn't it be more beneficial at this point to just add days to my current ticket? From what i can see, it would cost about $42 to add 4 days, and $64 to add park hopper.... is this allowed to add days instead and go to 2 different parks on the same day and use 2 days on your ticket instead of adding park hopper?

Sorry, Jenna.

You have to add on the park hopper to visit more than one of the majors on any single day.
