I just had a thought. I wonder how many people have loved ones take a picture of them licking or "pretending" to lick the gingerbread house?
Probably a bunch! I remember reading a TR where their kid ran up and tried to take a bite out of the house, I think.
Hi!! I have officially stalked you through all of your PTR's and TR's and am just starting on this one - of course I subbed!!

I love living through your trips, and I am sorry about your loss before your trip

- but I can't wait to read about these adventures. I am hoping at the end you will tell us how 2011 will also be a year of Disney as well!! Maybe you should pay attention to that secret - and think about DVC - it's the best thing I did for my family...

Now I sound like a sales agent - not!
Anyway keep up the writing and I love your trailers - they have to be the most creative thing I have ever seen

! I am so wrapped up in all of this, that yesterday I received an email from dd's school about an outbreak of impetigo - and I immediately thought of DUG!! There is something wrong with my warped thinking

!! But I feel like I know you guys...
Anyway, I do have a question, you keep talking about free ice water - we always go in July and with 4 kids in tow that could come in handy! How exactly do you go about asking for it... Do you buy something else, or just ask for waters, and if so how do the CM's treat you? I'm afraid they will look at me like some cheap skate - although going to disney with 4 kids and having a dvc - I don't think so... I just afford water after all of that- lol

!
Thanks for coming out of lurkdom to say hello! So cool to know that someone has been following along on all of these PTR/TRs!
2011 will not be an AP-style Year of Disney, sorry!

We are definitely considering a trip to CA to visit Dug's brother with a side trip to
Disneyland, though! And, surprisingly, Dug told me today that he wouldn't mind making an annual trip to WDW!

Although, the next one probably will not be until 2012 or 2013, we'll see.
We've considered the "secret" DVC, but it's just not for us. Although, after this trip, we both said that if they ever get a Poly DVC property we'd have to reconsider. We tend to travel on short notice, which makes DVC booking difficult. We also are big on discounts and, as far as I can tell, DVC annual dues (not including initial buy-in) would likely be more than we'd spend on resorts in a (more typical) year. Plus, we have a ton of non-Disney places we want to travel to.
I'm glad you're enjoying the trailers and the reports. So funny that you thought of Dug with the impetigo! I do that sort of thing too, thinking of people's TRs randomly.
The free ice water is at any counter-service place that has a soda fountain. Just go on up and ask for a glass of ice water. Sometimes you get big ones, sometimes small. No need to order anything else. I think it's probably a Disney-wide policy to give out free waters. We've never had any problems with it. Of course, I've never asked for six of them...
Those gingerbread houses look really neat! I can't wait to see them! I also can't wait to hear about your room!
P.S. I know I said this before but Bailey is just too cute!
Oh, you like cute Bailey pictures?

Check this out (her cutest puppy picture--from the day we met her):
Wow! Thanks for finding that for me!
You're welcome! Enjoy!
Great updates! Can't believe it only takes a few minutes to get from the Poly to MK, that's awesome!
I love those little scenes at the end of Space Mountain, they should totally have a restaurant like that!
The GF is so pretty, I love that Gingerbread house! We didn't see it this year, but we went the year before and it was amazing! It's so big!
The Poly is so convenient to the MK (and Epcot)! I'm glad I'm not the only one that enjoys the Space exit! It's crazy how big that gingerbread house is!
Poor Bailey wandering around in the snow. The snow in the backyard is over our Bailey's head now (yes, we got enough snow in 2 weeks to be over a 94lb lab's head

)
Someday I'll see the gingerbread house in person

In the meantime thanks for the tour
BTW the secret to a certain score is just to aimlessly shoot like a big idiot and hope for the best
Wow, you've gotten a ton of snow! Your poor Bailey! I hope you get to see the gingerbread house someday! Hmmm....I used to use your Buzz strategy, but somehow it didn't work out so well for me...
Great pics! That house looks nifty. We only saw the one at Epcot..I totally forget where that was..

This one is so much nicer! More "Grand Floridian" and less "covered in the cheap candies I saw at CVS" or something.

I can't imagine that much honey all in one place though. Pooh Bear would be going nuts!
LOVED the little girl trying to sneak over the rope in your pic!

That was great.
Glad Bailey was still having a great time!
The Epcot one is in the American Adventure area! We have a hilarious picture from that coming up later in the TR!

I was thinking about Pooh with all that honey too! I love that we have the little girl in our pic!
Just joining in! Yay for another Minnesotan!

I remember that storm well as we pretty much stayed inside that weekend. We aren't brave enough to travel in the winter yet for fear of the canceled/delayed flight so we have gone to Disney in the fall and the spring. Wish I could talk my hubby into by an annual pass
Yay for Minnesotans!

Yeah, I understand the hesitation to travel in the winter. We take our chances, though. Oddly enough, the flight delay was totally non-weather-related.

Nothing wrong with going fall and spring, though!
Firstly - That was one massive portion of nachos, but boy did they look tasty
Am really enjoying your trip report, I, in the many many flights I have done have never had a delay of more than an hour. I hope that now I have three small children that never changes.
Murphys law our flight will be delayed when we go in May.
Looking forward to reading the rest.
Kirsten

It was indeed a ton of nachos. Luckily, we had six of us, so that helped. I hope you never have a long flight delay...I'm sure your flight itself is long enough as is!
