I did a search and didn't find anything, but we're going to be in DLR Sunday, 3/11 to Friday 3/16. The fireworks are only showing on Sunday at 9:25 p.m. while we're there and we want a good spot since we've never seen them before! We want to be in the hub either to the left or right of the Partners Statue. If we get there two hours early, is that enough time to get the spot we want? Will we have to guard our spots with our lives? There are just two of us, both adults.

Thank you! I'm really looking forward to seeing the fireworks!

I prefer the right of the Partners Statue because they are kinda to the left and if you are on the left you miss some of them, especially the lower ones. We always seem to have a better view from the right!!

On a Sunday night during a busy week I would definitely get some dinner late and grab a spot and eat there and I would do it an hour to hour and a half early! I like to get some Stage Door Cafe and head over around 8pm to get the spot I really want on a weekend!!

If that is the exact spot you want, then two hours early is a good idea. But be careful with your timing, as the Parade of Dreams passes thru the hub shortly after 7PM on most nights and will last 20 minutes. So you will be competing with those people for space. After the POD finishes, people will leave the hub. But some people will stake out a spot in the hub from which they can see the POD and then the fireworks two hours later.

If you have some flexibility on location, then two hours will be plenty. You should be able to get a perfectly fine spot one hour ahead of time if you are willing to move around.

Two hours is definitely enough. Lately, even on really busy nights, we've even had good luck getting spots right in front of the castle 1 hour to 1.5 hours before, instead of the usual 2 or 2.5 hours. Although it will be a little busier when you are there because of spring break.

I recommend taking a blanket to sit on if you have one, and then once you have your spot, someone can go pick up some dinner and you can have a picnic. Bring a deck of cards or something to pass the time. It will be dark, but you should have enough light to play cards or something. Or bring a video iPod if you have one. ;)

Thank you all! :teeth: I figured the fireworks traffic would be even busier since Fantasmic is down during our stay and I forgot that the parade comes through there too! We'll keep our plan of @ 2 hours early, making sure to avoid the parade. I'll definitely bring my iPod & a blanket since we're only in the park that evening to see the fireworks. After that, it's DTD!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dont forget, 9PM Fantasmic crowd will be in the hub. so even more crowding!
