How soon to hold spot for Star Wars fireworks, and where?

We actually got there an hour early back in April and stood right in front of center stage. I hear there is a projection show now though so I think when we go in November we will stand a little further back.

Yuilin has information on this on the Star Wars Dessert Party thread. She has pictures that show you the best places to take without going to the dessert party. We followed her advice and had great spots for the show. We arrived 45 minutes before the show and were able to sneak in to the best section, but it was quite full already. I would suggest getting food or treats (we got a cupcake and a carrot cake cookie) and arriving an hour early to ensure you're getting the best spots.

We were there a few weeks ago and setup camp about an hour before the show. Had a great location.

Saw it last week using yulilin3's tips. Arrived 40 minutes before and had the most perfect view! A CM ( didn't catch his name unfortunately) was VERY entertaining during that time telling stories and asking trivia, made the time fly by while we drank our frozen treats!! Learned some new Disney trivia stuff too!
