How Soon to Expect?!

So I just wanted to start a new thread to get as many answers as possible, I'm sure this is answered elsewhere and I read about it, but to get the most up-to-date information. When can I expect the decision on the audition and then on the college program? I auditioned today in Rochester and they said 2-3 weeks for the audition, then 2-3 weeks after THAT for the program, but I didn't know if usually people found out before that or what. I know they have to go back to Orlando, I don't know if they are going to other audition places after this then to Orlando, or if this was their only audition. Also, when I interviewed last week with Wendy, she didn't ask where I wanted to work (park-wise or attraction-wise) I didn't know if there was a way to send her an e-mail or somehow make that clear without seeming to be obnoxious or rude or something. I want to work at the Magic Kingdom, but who doesn't, but I really, REALLY don't want EPCOT!!!!! It's my least favorite park and while it might be fun, it could also major stink!! In order: MK, DHS, AK, EPCOT. I don't want to work HM cause I am always smiling, and I really have no preference on rides, maybe Pirates or Fantasyland or something, but parks?? Any help, sorry this is so long!!!
Have a Magical Day!!!

I dont think we get a choice on parks? You just go where your assigned like if you're a character in one park, you might get something another day in another park. You might not even be the same character the next day.

Same for attractions I think - you do what they give you. My friend stood by herself all day in animal kingdom waiting for people to come in the walk along safari to answer questions about the animals in the room. Very exciting lol

Well, I know that you can't make yourself be put in a certain park, but I know alot of people here have been able to put in a request of where they would like to go if it is possible, just a preference nothing assured but at least the interviewers have an idea of what you like. My interviewer didn't ask me, so I'm wondering if there is a place or a person or way to call and get my preference set up without being obnoxious. If not I can just suck it up, but any chance I have of getting put in MK or DHS is better than AK or EPCOT. AK is just huge, hot and they don't have very many hours......but I can deal. Just not EPCOT. so I know that I will get stuck there, I always have the luck to get stuck in the place I dread or hate the most. So I just want to try to get my preference known and hope for the best. any ideas?!

my friend who is friends with Goofy right now heard back four weeks after her audition in Salt Lake.

if you are a character, you might be suited to play a couple different ones, not just one in particular. i also know that if you're a character, they don't tell you which character you are going to be until you get to work that day. They have had too many people play sick because they don't like playing a certain character. but all schedules are two weeks in advance. so you will know which park you'll be in on which day.

joanna, am i correct in saying this? this information i received from someone in Guest Services, a tour guide during a "keys to the kingdom" tour.

You have to wait THAT long???? Wow...I have my audition for Character Performer on April 8th, and my interviewer Juliana said that I should find out about the results of the audition and if I'm in the program between 3 days to a week after my audition....I don't know if that's because I applied for the Fall Advantage Program, so they're going to let me know ASAP or what....it might be because if I do make it...I have 2 weeks to let Disney know if I'm going to do it or not...........but agian.........IDK :confused3

As a performer, you can be "friends" with many characters.

And that's not true. You know which character you are friends with 2 weeks in advance (so you know where you will be before you get to work).

To make a request for a specific park you'll want to send an e-mail to your support recruiter (or recruiter). They will place you in your area as soon as you pay your fee, so I would do it before you pay.

As others indicated, Characters are global, we work at all 4 parks and several of the resorts - so nothing to request there.
