We leave 10/08 and due to some confusing airline ticket issues i'm really stressing packing for the 4 of us. I haven't gotten the suitcases out yet but I feel the itch ;) .....It's not like it's our first trip or I've never flown with the kids it's just that I would like to see what I can fit in suitcases (how many we'll be taking) how to bundle the new stroller that I haven't gotten ordered yet since I'm considering having it shipped there so i on;y have to fly one way with it oh the drama  How will I make it another 43 days??????

Typically I do an iron-a-thon 2 saturdays before we leave and a mass pakcing the Saturday before we leave so I have plenty of time to buy last minute items so if I need something shipped it gets here in time.

What's the earliest anyone else has packed?

We leave in 2 weeks, 2 days. I started (officially packing) last night. I had been filling a bag of things I bought specifically for the trip for months. Last night I actually got the suitcases out, divided clothes according to days(mostly for children since most all are matching and disney), put in zip lock baggies, then into suitcase. The kids should be completely packed by mid-week then I will start other odds and ends and the adult clothes. I say, if you won't need it before you leave, why not pack it?:goodvibes

Well, we leave in 10 days I am starting to get the ironing done and pack a bag with non-clothes items.

My parents called this morning and said 'we will be there on Sat' so I must :laundy: like a crazy person. That is inbetween preparing 30 new lesson plans for my new piano students and group piano classes. I just met the new students this weekend and I couldn't prep until I knew what they were capable of. So the next 10 days could be interesting.

We are leaving wednesday and i started packing yesterday, we don't have enough clothes to pack any sooner. i still have to wash some clothes tonight. why iron if you are going to pack it up? :confused3

Well, I'm leaving in 5 days, and honestly had 75% of my packing done a month ago (but this is for Disney:lovestruc !) For "regular" trips, I usually pack the weekend before, but hey, if you want to pack now, I say pack now:thumbsup2 Have a wonderful trip in Oct.

We leave in 27 days and i want to start packing now but i will wait till about a week before!

We dont leave till Oct 29th.....I want to start packing LOL!!! I have begun "putting stuff away" for the trip into my wardrobe, but there's no way I can officially begin packing till like the week before we leave.

If you iron everything and pack it a month ahead of time, won't it get wrinkled? :confused3 (This is a serious question, as I am "ironing-impaired";) )

I had to laugh when I read your post. My youngest son packed his entire suitcase this week for our trip the end of Sept. My mom asked me the same question you asked "won't his clothes wrinkle" I think by the time security and airplane trip it won't matter. They will wrinkle them for us :)

but it was a season-based issue. When I've known that we were going away in the winter, I've been known to pack our summer clothes into luggage, rather than packing them away for the fall and winter, only to take them out again in January.

For our next trip, I'm expecting that we'll probably try to pack on Wednesday and realistically do it on Friday. We're leaving on Saturday. On our last trip to Disney, we were packing the evening before and discovered several things. It was February, so it was understandable. Sunscreen? Nope. Trial size shampoo? Used up in a summer time trip. Oh, and guess what! The kids had grown since they last wore swimsuits, t-shirts and shorts. There was a last minute run out to two stores. We got home around 10 pm with an early flight in the morning. I'd find those extras now.

We are not going to Disney until April, but I have my suitcase in the closet, and when I'm putting all of our summer clothes away, I will put the outfits that we will probably take with us in the suitcase, so I don't have to go through all of the summer clothes before we go!
We went away 4th of July week this year(not to disney) and I ended up packing about 2 days before we left. Oh What chaos. I'll never do that again. I have 4 kids mind you!:scared1: That was alot of crazy packing. For Disney I will probably start putting things away and aside about a few weeks before. Unless I can't contain myself and I do it sooner. My dh will think i'm weird, but who cares, I think he thinks that anyway.:goodvibes So have fun packing, getting ready to go is one of the best parts for me.party:
