How soon is too soon to go back the WDW?

I was just wondering what everyone thought. We just went in Jan. 2005. IASW was closed, The Land was closed, and something else was rehabbing (I can't remember now what it was). How soon do you think is too soon to go back? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I would leave a couple of days before going back :)

Seriously - there are new attractions and rehabs being undertaken to coincide with the Disneyland 50th aniversary celebrations. These start in May, so most of the rehabs and new attractions should be open by then.
The exception to this is the new ride in AK. This is scheduled for early 2006.

To make the most of the new attractions and still be there to take advantage of the special 50th aniversary decorations and events perhaps leaving a trip until next spring would be a good idea.

You go back as soon as you can afford to! :cool1:

Well, that's a tricky one. Our first visit was in 1992 and we didn't go again until 1995. For us that was a great gap because we REALLY wanted to go again by then, were desperate in fact. However, we were taking our 3 teenagers (we always had to have two rooms ) and the whole holiday cost around £7,000 even then, so cost was something of an issue as well.

Nowadays, lots go every year or even more often. My feeling is though, that if you go for the second time too quickly, the magic will wear thin too soon.
I would wait until you feel you'll burst if you don't go and then hot foot it over there asap!!! Even though we now own at DVC, we still don't go every year, we found when we did go so often, it just wasn't as magical and we noticed all the broken things and lacklustre CM's etc, whereas going slightly less often, we don't notice them.

Waht she said!

Though I do agree with Gill to a certain extent - I think leaving gaps would heighten your anticipation!

I'm with Mandabella on this one - go as often as you can afford it. We went in 2001, twice in 2002, once each in 2003 and 2004 and loved every minute. We are going to DLCalifornia this year but I'm already missing WDW and wishing we were going there too. :sunny: I could never have too much WDW. :)

We went 3 times last year, the first time spending 3 nights in New York (over New Year's Eve) before flying to Orlando on January 1st. Although I enjoyed it, I just kept thinking it was the 'warm-up' for the main event.

We're due to fly to Washington in a little over 2 weeks. We'll spend 3 nights there, then drive down through the Appalachians (spending a night around Waynesboro or Charlottesville on the Skyline Drive then 2 nights in a log cabin with a mountain view on the Blue Ridge Parkway). Next stop is Atlanta, then across to Charleston, Savannah and St Augustine before arriving in Orlando for a 2 week stay. I'm really excited about it all, but the closer it gets, the more I find that it's Orlando that's occupying my thoughts. I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could work out a way!

If you can afford to go frequently .... go for it. The shortest I have had between trips is 12 months which was OK, but if I had the option of visiting more frequently I would ;)

I want to go back the minute i land back in the uk from wdw. :teeth:

Me too, Want to go tomorrow??? I so get jealous when I read all these 'I'm going tomorrow' threads

We went in the 90s a few times but when the new millenium came we went Nov2000 in a large group we were the only ones who had been before so spent our time & energy making sure everyone had a good time, we felt we needed to go again so off we went in Aug 2001. Since then we have been in 2003 & 2004 but have decided that we want to wait for some new rides & attractions before we go again so have decided to go in 2007, however this year we are off to do the west side LA (including a trip to DL) LV Grand canyon & San Diego, so at least we get our small Disney fix and we get to go somwhere new

Hello,

As much as everyone gets 'back home/back to work' depression I wouldnt want to go to WDW too often or else I would be A) Bankrupt & B) A little bit bored.

I loooove WDW as much as everyone on these boards but too much of a good thing can leave you jaded. If you need a fix go to DLP for a day. Thats what I do anyway!

About a week, because you need that time to get all the clothes washed and ironed ..........!
