How soon in advance are you able to book a Disney Vacation?

We just got back from WDW Sunday and I'm already getting excited for our next trip. We have never stayed onsite before but I am planning to from now on considering all of the excellent perks you get with it. This trip was magical of course since it was my kids 1st, but with the crowds and heat it got a little bit intolerable. So our next trip will be around October or November of 2010. Has anyone ever been at that time of year? Also how far in advance can I book the trip through Disney? Can i do a payment plan or does it have to be in full? Thanks for any input. I'm so excited.

You can book a room only reservation about 400 days in advance, I believe. You need to call, though. If you call before they release the 2010 rates, you will be quoted the 2009 highest season rate for the room, and will need to put down a deposit of one night's cost (again at the highest rate for that room).

You cannot book a package until the 2010 rates come out. Last year, I believe that was in late July/early August.
