I'm haven't started talking to DFTW yet, but I'm hoping to have our wedding on August 12th 2010 - so hopefully booking our wedding on August 12th 2009.

There is a possibility that DF and I will be able to make it up to Orlando the start of Sept 2009.

Is there any chance that they'd be able to work with us to do a Planning Visit during this time? It's the only time we'd be able to get up there - do a tasting session/cake tasting/viewing the venues, etc... and get to activate our Annual Passes that they give?

Thanks for asking this question!

I've been wondering this too, I'm hoping they will be really helpful for us UK brides, and seeing as you'll be within a year of the date, it should be fine for you! Even if you don;t have your planner and stuff for definite by then I'm sure they can easily get the cake tasting and stuff ready. As they'll see you have a date set and will realise its not easy for you to get out there.

I would also imagine they will be happy to get someone to show you around the venues too.

We're hoping to go next Sept too, and will be 18 months out for us, so very far off, but as Jack's never been to WDW I want him to see it all before we put money down, but I hope if I get in touch a long time in advance they will be able to show us the WP and WR for 10 minutes at some point during our trip. Sadly we might have to have another planning session trip too. :rotfl: Shame.

Would be very un-disney for them not to let you look around, so they should be fine about it.

Hopefully it will! We're really hoping we can get out there, so it would be fantastic if they'd help us out and let us plan whilst we're there :)

When you call in August, let them know you plan to be there in September, I'm almost positive they will help set something up for you. You might even want to try calling in June or July...

You would definitely be able to do a site visit but I don't think you can actually do tastings things like that until after your contract is signed and you are assigned a wedding planner. I don't know what locations you were thinking of but I know for most you can't sign a contract for until 8 months out which is when you also get your AP's.

we were told we couldnt do ours till we had signed a contract so we were lucky and virgin did a sale and we got a week in feb to do our planning and tasting sessions for our sept wedding.

they say around 6 months out *** thats when prices can be locked in but we were just before and waited a little longer for our beo
