How soon can we make our first reservation?

We received notice today that our purchase of DVC has closed! Yeah! In the e-mail it mentions that we can call Disney on 1/11 to make a reservation. Does anyone know if we really need to wait that long?? TIA

If you purchased direct from Disney, your Guide can make ressies even before closing, if necessary.

If you purchased resale, then you probably will have to wait till the designated date.

you can always call MS now and just see if you can make a ressie. The worst then can tell you is no, your not in the system yet.
