How soon after new contract?

We just purchased points at BLT and I was wondering how long after buying before you can make reservations? Also what is the policy for booking a room for someone else. My MIL is joining us and we what to get her a studio room at BLT.

if you brought thru DVC - you can make the reservations now.

you can definitely make a reservation for you and your MIL at the same time.

just put her name on the reservation.

Thanks!! Now I'm really excited. Is it a problem to book a room for her at a different resort? Is there any other info they need on her besides her name?

There should be no problem for booking her at another resort. I spoke to my guide about this before for my parents. All you need is her name and her address.

If you have BLT points, you can book at BLT at 11 months out or less. You can use those same points to book anywhere else in DVC lodging at 7 months out or less. So if MIL will be staying somewhere other than BLT you have to be 7 months or closer to the start of the reservation.

You can book as many villas as you have points, including banked and borrowed points. So, if you have enough points, you could reserve ten villas or more.

Thanks to everyone just got off the phone with MS and the dates we wanted weren't available for BLT but we were able to get her in at AKL Jambo House.

Also WL Studio not available on 17th, BC on 17th also full. The dates at BLT that were booked are the 15th-19th studio any view.
