I'm going to suggest that you take a look at what's readily available in monogrammed items before picking a spelling.
My name is Annette. Not horribly unusual, but apparently not in the top 100 or so names. Growing up it was incredibly difficult to find anything with my name on it. It's still difficult to find - in fact DFi and I almost have made a game of it now, any time we pass by a rack of personalized items that look half decent he has to stop and see if they have my name. They almost never do. In the 5+ years we've been together he's found my name on something exactly 4 times. That's not a good average.
Young girls, for whatever reason, love personalized things. It can be quite heartbreaking when all your schoolmates have personalized pencils and notebooks etc and you don't. Also as others have mentioned, unusual spellings get mispelled all the time. I always thought my name should be pretty easy, but even as an adult I keep running into people who don't know how to spell it. I've taken to saying "Annette, with 2 n's and 2 t's". And there are still those who will leave the "e" at the end off.
I remember as a kid getting one birthday card from a friend who obviously wasn't sure how many of what to put in my name. I believe it was spelling "Anetetetetete".
