How Secure are the Lockers at Magic Kingdom?

We are thinking of renting a locker one day next week, to store costumes and such after the princess tea.

anyone have problems with theft or damage? and would you consider leaving a camera or not?

otherwise, the alternative is to all go back to the hotel (pofq) to drop stuff off and change. Or one of the adults makes a run while everyone else goes to the park.

I do not believe there is any problem with security at the lockers-I've certainly never had a problem. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think there is a CM on duty there at all times-certainly each time I've been back to the lockers there has been.

I've never had a problem either. Never left a camera there, but have left tons of purchases from the Emporium so I didn't have to carry them!

I've used them several times and have never had a problem or seen a problem that someone else was having. I have put my camera in it for awhile when I was on the KTTK tour and could not carry a camera. This was only for a few hours but I thought nothing of leaving it in there

ITA the only thing I think that could happen would be a computer clitch that reassigned your locker to someone else (don't think it would happen but).

They are well built and a CM is always in the area.

We leave our Carry-ons in the lockers rather then at Bell services as we carry all of our Meds and money that we want to put in the in-room safe.

Can anyone say what locker sizes are available and the cost (approx. for size and cost will do.)

They also might have other duties during Illuminations blocking off certian areas and so forth.

I have always used the lockers at all the parks. never had a problem or even saw anyone else with a problem. the lockers are big enough for a decent size carry on. we usually go off season,so we carry a pair of long pants, jacket each for when it gets cool in the evening. also change of clothes if going somewhere we will get wet (read---Kali river). I think they are $6or $7 and you get $1 or 2 back when you return the key. remember if you are park hopping to keep your receipt and you can get a locker at the next park at no cost. hope this helps

Don't worry, there are no "computers" involved with the lockers.

You pay a CM a locker fee and key-deposit, CM hands you a locker key (with a number).
You go to that numbered locker and open with the key, put in your item(s) close and lock the door, take the key.

When leaving the park, open your locker with key, remove item(s), close & lock door, take key to locker CM, receive your $2.00 key-deposit return.

There are 2 sizes of lockers at Epcot and the Studios (first-come, first served if you specifically want a "bigger" locker).

There are only one size of locker available at DAK and MK (pretty good size).

You know I have no idea where I'm thinking that to go in pay at the center of the lockers isle and get a code .Open the locker the same way.

thanks everyone! You've eased my mind. We will have the stuff the girls get at the Princess Tea, and video camera that we'd rather not carry around all afternoon and it will save time to not have to return to the hotel before going to the MK.
