How scary is Kali River Rapids??

This is the perfect ride for weenies & I am one of them. You're kids think you are being oh so brave and leave you alone about the other rides for a while!

You did test track? I'm impressed! I couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe if I could see it first.......... but all I can hear are loud screams with no visual. Forget it!!

I have done Big Thunder Mountain. Now, that might have you thinking I'm not a true weenie but I really am. It took me 15 years to get on that ride, and I found I could do it because you are never really looking down. You have grass etc. next to you so you don't have that whole height factor going on.

I could NEVER do ToT but I do love Aerosmith so would like to do Rockin Roller coaster but thus far.....just haven't been able to force myself!!

You'll like Kali, you won't be afraid, but you will get wet!

Not scary at all--just too darn SHORT!!! Most times when we ride with Kali "newbies" and the ride ends they say "That's it???"
And we say-"Yep-that's it"

We like KRR very much. Dh does not particularly like thrill rides and this is his favorite ride. We wear ponchos...I hate getting wet so we buy ponchos from our local discount store, carry them in our pockets and wear on the ride.

but I'll answer anyway. I can be objective. Kali is NOT in the least big scary. I'd say thrill factor a 0.5 on a scale of 1-5. However, it's a great way to stay cool for the day. We always manage to be the lucky ones who get totally soaked thru and thru. At first, we avoided the ride because of this, but we discovered it kept us cool for our entire day at AK.

I am a complete chicken....

I went on Kali....and i was scared cause i heard there
was a 50 ft drop
PLeeeese....it was barely an angle....
NOT SCARY AT ALL....I ACTUALLY FELT JIPPED

I agree....Pirates has a steeper drop....you feel the slight stomach
thing on pirates.....kali...stomach dosent even know u went down

Even maelstrom's drop is steeper i think....

Anyway....yes you will get wet....my entire back was soaked and shoes..

Thanks everybody!! You have convinced me to go on Kali River Rapids on the next hot day we're there! (Probably sometime during the Flower and Garden Festival).

We watched everybody coming out from the ride when we were there last month and there were some truly soaked people, so we'll be prepared to get wet.

And you cannot take your shoes off like you could when they first opened this ride! This is one ride in particular that I'm glad to be wearing my Tevas!

Last time I put my socks in my pocket and waited for my shoes to dry before putting them back on, but Tevas are definitely the way to go!
