Hi ya -
We (Hubbie, DS - 6 year old, and I) will be bringing our bikes for our stay in late Sept. I have read that there are bike racks at most bus stops inside FW as well as at the marina.
1.) How safe are the bikes at these racks all day while we are enjoying the parks, as well as sitting at an unattended camp site?
2.) Are chain locks necessary?
DH's bike is brand new and rather sporty and would be the most likely mark to walk if they tend to do that there.
My biggest concern is when we return from a hard day at the parks. Last year DS was a sleeping pup most nights when returning to our hotel, and there is no way the two adults could ride OUR bikes back to our campsite, while one of us carries the sleeping boy and the other drags his empty bike along.
My plan was to just catch a bus back to our campsite if the boy is crashed and comeback in a few minutes with our truck for the bikes.
That brings up two other questions....
3.) do the internal and external buses stop running at a particular times?
4.) are there limited hours when you are permitted to drive your car through the campground ?
Any help with this minor detail would be greatly appreciated. - thanks - lori
