Just back and noticed this time more than before that the number of rude people had increased a lot. Some of my experiences to give you an idea.
On our first day at rope drop there was a cast member handing out stickers to the kids. My DD7 asked me if she could line up for a sticker which was fine. She got to the front of the line and a woman pushed in and stuck her open palm in his face. He put a sticker in her hand and she wiggled her fingers as if to say "more". When she got what she wanted she walked off. My DD7 said please and thank you as she has been taught to. I really wanted to point out to the woman that really butting in front of children is not really very polite but also that little things like stickers are not part of your admission. ie you are lucky to receive a sticker and not entitled to it.
My DD3 was nearly knocked off her feet by a woman passing in the opposite direction when her bag hit her in the face. She turned round looked at her crying and kept going. No sorry or anything. It was a sore one too.
On the teacups a woman bashed my DD7 away from a tea cup with her butt! And it wasn't a small one so it did push her quite far. Hello! There are enough for everyone - no need to be so rude.
People line cutting. I was in the line for the magic carpets behind a couple and in front of them was a woman. Now bearing in mind I was about 10 people from the end of the line - not at the front - 2 people pushed past saying they were joining the woman. Ten more, And more. 11 people joined that woman! She could have just waited for them to join her. As i said when they started we were not far from the end of the line. No please can i get past either. Just pushing.
In general I just found that I heard and saw more people with bad manners than ever before.
Also people driving ECVs
There were millions of them and most of them seem to have never driven one before. They are dangerous! After the parade one day when they were doing the hoovering of main street one man saw his chance for a bit of speed and took off down main street at a speed I had no idea that those things could pick up. If someone had found themselves in the way they would have got a sore one.
In DHS an older lady was driving one and there was a young girl of about 12 walking past me. Not running - not zigzagging but just walking like everyone else. This woman suddenly veered into her and caught her legs. The woman shouted watch where you are going (??????) and made out that she had walked in front of her. Not a sorry or are you OK to the poor little girl who did nothing wrong. She just got abuse from a lady in a dangerous vehicle.
What is wrong with people nowadays? Is common courtesy out of fashion?
And don't get me started on tour groups!!!!!!! The tour guides obviously thought that the bridge to asia in AK was a great place to meet completely blocking the walkway. Would they move? What do you think? Do they take rudeness lessons on the bus on the way to Disney?
The angels in all of this are the cast members who despite the rudeness they are sometimes faced with always seem to keep that smile. I think they deserve a medal sometimes! They make disney such a great place and the ones we had the pleasure of meeting were fantastic!

But you can tune most of it out if you try! I had to tell myself to not give those rude people so much power over how my vacation was going to be. But I was much happier when I decided to just ignore all the rude people and enjoy my vacation.
