I have never done a split stay and want bell services to transfer our luggage.
The morning we are changing resorts we have a Topolinos breakfast at 8:40 and are heading to MK afterwards.
We will be staying at CBR so we will be walking to the Riviera.
When should we call them to pick up our luggage? How long does it usually take for them to get to the room to pick it up or should we take our luggage to bell services ourselves? I’m not thrilled about walking our luggage to bell services then walking to Riviera for breakfast. We can if it will work out better that way though.
What has been your experiences with bell services for anyone who has had luggage transferred?

We call 30 minutes prior to needing bags collected… It completely depends on time of day and how busy Bell Services is but a 30 minute buffer has always been plenty of time.

We have done it several times. We usually get in late on day 1 and stay at a value resort (ASM, etc) that night. Then the next morning we move to Wildness Lodge or similar. That morning we wake, take our bag to the bell man, check out of value resort and tell them to send our luggage to the new resort. We then head to the park for the day and in the early afternoon, go to our new resort and check in. Our bags have ALWAYS been at the resort waiting for us. Twice we had to call the bellman once we got to our new room to have the bags sent up. 1 time we had to physically go to the bell stand to identify our bags and claim them. Not sure why it happened two different ways but in either case it was easy peazy. We'll do it this way every time.

We've always dropped off our bags at bell services as we head out for the day. They gather all the info they need from you. When we get to the new resort in the evening or whatever, we stop at bell services and pick them up. During covid they were not delivering bags to your room, so this became our habit.

We call the night before and schedule a time we want them there. Just easier. I always say 15 minutes earlier than I really want.
Ok that’s good that I can call the night before to arrange a time.

Yea, call the night before or 30 minutes early like others said. We do split stays most times and never have had an with a luggage transfer

Had a good experience with luggage transfer. When you get to you 2nd stay, call bell services and they will bring the bags up.

When Ive done split stays I’ve taken a cab/uber to next resort with my luggage to drop off at Bell Service. Sometimes my room has been ready. Then I just take park bus/monorail whatever from new resort.

I would suggest scheduling a time because bell services in the morning, when people are checking out and with recent staffing shortages, can be slow. I’d also caution that in the past, people have had instances of 12+ hour waits for their luggage at the next resort. This is why many choose to Uber to the next resort with their luggage so it’s already there. If you’ll be at the park and don’t need access to it then it shouldn’t be a problem, but just a caution.

If your CBR room is relatively close to Riviera, I would honestly just roll the luggage over there myself before breakfast and give it to Riviera bell services to hold until your room is ready. It can take a looooooong time for luggage to be delivered to the new resort on a split-stay transfer.

This is exactly what we do. We've had bell services move our luggage before and it took way too long to get our luggage at our second resort.
