true, in a sense.
it's more relaxing, as in, most people want to go to the feature pool with the slide,hot tub, wading pool, bar, and those annoying yellow jackets!!! (hubby's and my name for those CMs with the yellow shirts, running the pool games, with the blaring pop music, and the microphones on the most extreme decibel level

)
so there probably be fewer people at the "leisure" pools. doesn't mean, in any sense, that there won't be children there, or children (and parents) jumping in the pool, splashing, ie. having fun. esp, if they have just a short time and don't want to go over to the feature pool.
we visit without children all the time.. we love to read, lie in lounge chairs, sunning. If a child jumping in the pool splashed on me or my book, I would think maybe my lounge chair was a little too close to the pool.
at the quiet pool at the ranchos last april, suddenly there was a ball in my lap. (I was reading one of the hunger games books) I just threw it back.. the parents apologized. I said, "no big deal" it was an accident.
the smaller pools TEND to be quieter and less crowded than the "feature" pools. but you are farther away from the mug refill stations, food courts slides, hot tubs, wading pools, etc. etc. but, generally, closer to your room.. (very nice if you have a nicely stocked bar in you room!

)
now french quarter, has only one pool (and the slide is a toddler slide). however, the thing I like there is the hot tub is set wayapart from the pool. so there tends to be less children splashing around in the hot tub.
coroando springs hot tub is set a little apart from the amin pool but it is really big, so attracts the kids more. the hot tub at POR riverside is RIGHT nest to the pool, so it is really annoying having little kids splashing in and out of it all the time...treating it like a wading pool. CBR had 2 small hot tubs, one near the main pool, and anothe behing the bigger slide, so fewer kids notice it.
wish the resorts had adults only hot tubs!!
so, generally, the "leisure pools" are quieter (and much easier to get a table at, or lounge chairs).. but QUIET isn't guaranteed. and a pool view room means you will hear whatever is going on at the pool even if you aren't poolside.
sept, 2011 we had a room at BLT, florr 15, pool view. we were trying to nap (yes, in the afternoon, silly us) and een through the closed doors, those gol darned Yellow jackets!!! (poolparty CMS) were so loud!!! the price you apy for the view and/or the convenience.
