How quickly does BCV fill up for Star Wars Day?

I am in the planning stages of renting DVC points to book a trip for my niece and her family, May 3-10. I have rented many times from the Rent/Trade boards here on the Dis.
Our 7 month mark is approximately Oct 10.
I'd love some input from all of you very experienced DVC members who have been searching DVC inventory for years. :goodvibes

All of the studios are booked for the week. Disney has some studios available on their website from May 5-10 but as I understand, they are different inventory. They are also over $700/nt. :headache:
I contacted David's and because it's BCV and we are in the timeframe where only BCV owners can book, they want $25 per point and they do have 1BR units available. The total is $5275. :crazy2: It's not impossible but at some point it's harder to feel the magic.

My questions are, how popular is Star Wars day and do 1BR units usually sell out during that time? I'm wondering if it's reasonably safe to wait until our 7 month mark which would open up so many more options where I could rent from the long list of DVC members on the rent/trade. Is it crazy to wait? I know no one has a crystal ball but any feedback would be appreciated.

If it falls during the week - not as bad since WDW limited the celebrations , if it falls on a weekend it will be tough.

But the first 2 weeks in May and the first 2 weeks in December are "paradox weeks" Cheap DVC points vs the hotel rates and popular with FG festival ( 57% early May in 2025 based on www.dvcrofr.com)

Beach Club is one of the hardest DVC locations to book as a rental. People who own there want to stay there usually! And it's small. 1 bedrooms will be the easiest to book there of all. You should consider Boardwalk (not resort view because it's hard to get) as a backup: similar location, similar point chart, but a bigger resort so more potential owners to rent to you.

Boardwalk P/G rooms are also a very close walk to HS in what is IMO the best Florida weather.

LOL I wouldn't wait if you know you want Beach Club on those dates. Honestly you probably should have booked it back in June. May the Fourth is probably the most popular day for DHS all year. It's pretty much the only day of the year that DHS annual pass park reservations sell out.

I do wish we had planned earlier but back then we were still planning her August DCL cruise with 3 days post-cruise stay at BWV. I told her if she had any free time to go check out BC & WL, our faves. So she walked over and loved it :lovestrucand of course the pool too, so I'm trying to make it happen for her without choking on the cost.

Yes! We visited once the first week of May when our kids were little and it was spectacular weather.:cool1: Hot enough to enjoy water parks and water rides without being too humid. I recommended it to her and when she realized it contains SW day, then her heart was set.

We considered that too but she just stayed there 3 days in August, her first visit to WDW since her one visit as a child. She would rather try something new to her but we might end up falling back on it.

You mention that she just stayed at Boardwalk in August, and now you're planning a trip for May. Does she have an annual pass? If yes, you might want to keep an eye on the rates at the Swan and Dolphin. Use the Marriott website, not the Disney website. The AP discount code is QWH.

A few years ago DVC finished reallocating the points charts so that time periods less in demand were made less expensive and times more in demand became more expensive. The nights of May 1-14 are now in the second least expensive season for booking, while the nights of May 15-31 are more expensive. DVC members are notorious for trying to save points, thus many who want to visit in May are scheduling their visits for those two weeks.

So I must agree with advice above to consider BWV, even though she’d prefer BCV. The reality is that BWV P/G view will be easier to book than BCV, especially if she wants a studio, simply due to the number of studios in each. But both will be difficult for May the Fourth, specifically for their easy access to DHS.
