How quick can I use AP discount after DVC signup?

I was considering purchasing DVC on an upcoming May visit (depending on incentives at that time) and I am wondering how quickly I can take advantage of DVC perks. Is it theoretically possible to upgrade my 8 day park hopper to an AP with DVC member discount, during my trip?

I was in the system in about 2 days after giving my deposit, had my member number and was able to make ressies. Good luck,

As long as you have a membership card, you can get the discount. We had a card before we left the DVC preview center after we purchased.

Same here, we signed, paid our deposit and received all of our general paperwork, state specific paperwork, bag and temporary DVC Member card.
