How points work

I have two contracts OKW and SSR, with SSR being very very small. When I check my points it says 330 points for 2014 use year.

I want to rent out points but wondered how I am suppose to list the points? I know I can book OKW at 11 months and SSR the same. Then all the rest at 7 months.

How do I word it for the listing? Can I use all the 330 points for one resort rental?

No, you can't use any points at 11 months out. You can only combine them at seven months out. So post the number of SSR points you have and the number of OKW points you have and are willing to make a reservation or transfer (if they haven't been banked) and the price you are asking.

you can use OKW pts at 11 months out to book OKW and SSR pts at 11 months out to book SSR. sounds like you would not be able to book very much at SSR at 11 months out, so you may just want to list your OKW pts from a home resort standpoint. (or else just list what you have available in each case.)

Unless you have enough SSR points to make a reasonable reservation for someone, I'd offer the OKW points for reservations using the 11 month priority or all 330 for reservations within 7 months.

You could also consider making a transfer to another member is they are all current/non-banked points - doing it that way you could transfer all 330.

I am going to give it try to offer all the points for transfer and give it about a month, then offer the points for rent. I would much rather transfer.

Do the points need to load first before I list them for transfer or do I just say April use year?

You do not need to wait. They can be transferred now, and used now, it just needs to be for a reservation during that UY.

And I would be specific about the two home resorts (within the one listing). I have found that what I think is a small number of points is actually just what some people are looking for.

Wait, there's one problem, though. You can only do one transfer per UY, per membership. That means that unless you find one person who wants all the points for a 7-month reservation, or for some reason wants the two different 11-month resorts, you'll probably end up transferring some and renting some. Say in your ad that you give priority to large requests.

Just remember that once you transfer any of the points, you can't transfer any more of them.
