We aren't using a stroller. DS (7) and DD (4) will be walking and the occasional shoulder ride from DH. We have been going for evening walks as a family to get them ready.
Just be careful with the shoulder rides. My brother in law decided to skip renting a stroller one year and just give his son shoulder rides. My sister ended up getting kicked in the face multiple times during the hoisting up process.
And my nephew ended up hitting his head on a low hanging sign one night. So if you plan on giving shoulder rides, watch out and be careful!
FWIW I would just see how it goes without a stroller. I don't believe in forcing kids to walk if they are truly exhausted, or making them sit in the room because of it either. Walking at Disney World is different then walking at the mall for a few hours. Disney World is exhausting! I would much rather push around a happy, well rested child in a stroller then force walk a crabby, screaming one.
But only you know your family. So if everyone can be happy without a stroller, then go for it!
