How old were you.....

Nativetxn, How lucky you were!! As a kid I would have given anything to go to Disneyland!! To me it was the same as traveling to China!!

ABCDE tickets! (always had "A"s left over!)

I remember those "E" tickets! That's where the expression for something really terrific -- "It's an "E" ticket" -- comes from. The "E" tickets were for the best rides.

I was 19 and it was 1971. I went to Disneyland with my friend from after we graduated from HS. I wore hot pants and a halter top and was refused admittance to Disneyland because my attire was not "appropriate." We had to take the shuttle back to the hotel and I had to change and then back to the park, where they let me enter! ;)

I was 7 (I think) and it was 1973. Nana and I went. You see my Grandfather had just passed away at the end of the summer, and my grandparents ALWAYS went out on NYE. THey would go to one of the swanky hotels in Boston and celebrate. She could not bear the thought of being home alone for New Year's, so she took me to WDW. It was just the MK then. And I am CERTAIN I had on several fetching polyester pants suits.

Disneyland when I was 3 in 1964. I wouldn't ride much of anything and made my poor dad carry me all over the park!

The same trip we got to meet Clarence Nash, the voice of Donald Duck. He gave us a special, private tour of Disney Studios. I wish I'd been older because I only have a vague memory of a man talking like Donald. Somewhere my mother has an autographed picture that he gave us. I've layed claim to it when she finds it. She also has with it some unused tickets from that same trip. I can just see them framed and on my wall!

Disneyland ~ April 1975, I was 15

WDW ~ June 1990, I was 30

:)

WDW first trip, 1991, I was 28/29.

5 trips in 11+ years, is NOT ENOUGH! :(

The year was 1976, I was 19 and it was Walt Disney World. Really just the Magic Kingdom back then. We stayed at the Howard Johnson's in the Village. I was in awe then and still am whenever we are lucky enough to make it back.

I think I was in a polyester skooter skirt at least one day :)

DH took me to WDW in 1999 when I was 18 so I could scope it out and decide if we wanted to get married there. He had been several times before but I'm not sure when his first trip was.

BTW me and my big fat mouth had to decide to get married back home where, "all my friends and family could be there." And as it turned out, maybe 5% of the people I invited showed up. I wish I could go back in time and take back that decision.

1979 --- I was 14. Had just gotten my body cast off the month before. :)

It was a high school marching band trip. We marched in the Magic Kingdom. Got to prepare "backstage". We had the rest of the afternoon in the park. (NOT NEARLY ENOUGH TIME - even if it was JUST the MK back then!!)

I wore a yellow t-shirt with purple letters spelling out "BMR Chargers". High school colors -- and I had it under my uniform.

I have my first picture of me & Tigger. :bounce:

Oh -- and came home with LOTS of ABCDE tickets. Didn't get to ride much AT ALL. :(

So, I had to go back in 1988 :) and traded in those tickets. LOL

1981 - 17 - Senor Class Trip

I have exactly one picture from that trip, and I've always wanted to post it - but I was soooooo sassy back then and unfortuantely I am in the pic with a sassy look on my face and a cigarette in my hand. :( Who knows exactly what I was thinking - but obviously I got bit by the Disney bug sometime during that trip. I longed to go back - and even though it wasn't for many years after that (18 years!) that I did visit again, I was hooked immediately. :)

I had just turned 25 and was on vacation in Florida w/ my family. My nephew (who had just turned 6) and I were dying to go to WDW and on the last day of the trip my parents surprised us w/ a trip to MK. It was 1998 and we were hooked. Have been 5 times since w/ the last 4 of those being on-site. Wish I could live there!!!

Hey, snoopy, we both went the same year only I was a year old at the time. ;)

It was either 1990 or 1991 and I was either 5 or 6.
