How old were you when you left home? (for good)

I commuted to college...so that doesn't count.

But after college, at age 22, moved in with boyfriend...who later became DH at age 23 (almost 24).

18... woo hoo - I graduated, so I figured I knew everything there was to know...

I now live 3 blocks from my parents - yes, they drop in all the time and no they don't knock - it's almost like living at home again!!

Shh... don't tell! We told our kids that it was a law that they get jobs and move out at 18! One down, two to go!

Moved out to go to college at 17 -2 hrs from home, went back summers and breaks.....Dad told me I would never leave the house (didnt think I could do it).....graduated at 21 and moved into own apartment in city I went to school in, Dad said I would be back.

Got married 13 days after my 23rd birthday, never moved back again!!!! Going on 9 years of marriage!

I left home when I got married. I was 20.

You never appreciate living at home until you realize you have to do your own cooking, cleaning and picking up after yourself.

Hmmmm maybe its not too late to go back. It's only been almost 16 years . . .and my Mommy and Daddy WUV me!

18... I left 2 months after high school graduation and moved in with my boyfriend (now fiance) to go to school.

Panogirl and CindyB....Ditto...I left at 17 with a full time job thinking I was all that. Ha! I also went to Community College part time. Of course that only lasted a year cause the job and $$ were more important at the time. Oh, the ignorance of youth! But it is all ok now

I left at 18, two weeks after I graduated High School I went to boot camp, joined the USMC. Never went back except for visits.
