How old were you when you left home? (for good)

I left home at 19 to go to college in Chicago but didn't actually live on my own til I graduated at 22. Moved into an apartment and shared the rent with a friend.

i left home at 17 to go to college 500 miles away.

I had just turned 21 when I got married and moved out for good. I had been to college and moved back home with my parents for a while before we got married.

I was 19...and then after 11 years of living on our own (DH, DS and myself) we bought a home with my mother...... so even though we pay the majority of the bills I'm in a sense back home and I couldn't be happier. I love having my mom here with us.

Not until I got married 3 years ago. I was 23, turned 24 later that month.

I was away at college except during summers for 4.5 years just before that, though. If that counts.

17... my parents took a job in another State and I didnt want to leave. So I got a job house sitting for the summer and then an apartment after that. I "bounced back" a few times when my dad was sick so I could help out. But I dont count that as living at home lol.

If you ask my mom, she'd say i'd never moved out because my pre-college junk is still there.

But I guess I was 21 when I stopped comming home for extended periods of time. I still go there to visit and stay the night w/ my DH
