How old were you when you became a Parent?

22 when I had my dd and 29 when I had my ds.... dh and I are glad we started young..... his twin brother and his wife just had their first baby a year and a half ago and are expecting #2 this spring..... I just can't imagine doing the new baby thing at this stage of our lives.

WOW ! I guess I win the 'slow starter' award. I was 40 years old when DD was born! (After a number of years of fertility treatments) But some words of encouragement for anyone thinking that 40 is too late......... My pregnancy and delivery were without complications. Having our DD around (she's now 8) has definitely made our lives more interesting ;),
richer, fuller and more worthwhile. Since I had already had a professional career before she was born, I can now be a stay-at-home mom without feeling that I'm 'missing' something. I may be an older mom chronologically but having an 8-year-old definitely keeps you from getting old and set-in-your-ways too quickly! :p

I was still 21 when first DD was born, but we waited 6 years before the next one! I keep hoping to be a grandparent while I can enjoy them, but the kids don't seem to be cooperating!:p DD is 33 and unmarried and DS is 27 and divorced!

I just turned 25. So young to have a baby, I was still a baby myself. I love having my son though at this age, he will be 21 and even though I am the PARENT and make the rules in my home we can still talk and relate to each other. He is my life, my Disney travel partner. I look at him and think "wow, Gail, you did one heck of a job raising a young man.:D

I was another oldie. Had DS when I was 35 and DD when I was 39 (after fertility help). My only regret is that I wanted more and now I'm just too tired! :)

I was 23 when the twins were born
& I was 30 when my youngest DS came along.

I was 20 for my first DD, 22 for my second DD, 23 for my third DD and 27 for my DS.

I now have 4 Grandchildren, Nathan 12, Lucy 8, Autumn Marie 5 and Caoilinn 4. They are the light of my life and bring so much joy and happiness.

I have never regretted getting married young and starting my family early. I am still young enough to have so much fun with my Grandchildren.

I had turned 24 just 2 weeks before I have birth t my firstborn son.
I was 25 1/2 when I had my second son, and 28 1/2 when I had my daughter.

I was 24 for the first, 25 for the second and 35 for the third.

I was 24 and DH 27 when we had DD.
I was 26.5 when I had DS, DH turned 30 ten days later.

I was 29 when DS#1 was born, and 30 when DS#2 came along (11 months later!)

I was married when I was 19 and had my son when I was 24:)

I had my son when I was 21. He is now 21 and bought the house right next door to us last year lol. It's like he still lives here.

I was 20.

DH got the easy part - he was 40 and one of the harder parts of raising a child was already done!!!! (He is my dd's step-father) :D

I was 4 months shy of 21 when DS was born...5 months shy of 25 when DD was born...they are now almost 14 and almost 10
