How old was your child when he/she reached 40" tall?

MY kids are on the tall side. My son was just shy of his 3rd bday and he rode Splash Mountain on his last trip. However, even though he was physically ready to ride, emotionally it scared him to death. :scared1: He is just now riding thrill rides again this summer (he's 7). On the flip side, my daughter rode everything when she was really small, and asked why it couldn't go faster. I guess it depends on the child. :hyper:

My DD was about a month or so shy of 4 when she hit 40" but DH is 6"5" or so...I guess it's in her genes. :)

My girls are tall. Not sure when they hit 40' but dd 5 turning 6 when we went to disney in may and she was 48'. dd 3 is 39' ( we when to the DR. today for her 3 year check up she turned 3 on june 24)

My oldest was 40 inches well before age 3 (he just turned 6 and is more than 50 in - he's on pace to be 6'4" plus.)

My middle DS has a heart disease and it's affected his growth. He was 38 in at the cardiologist last week. He'll be 3 in two weeks. He's my daredevil so it makes me sad that he can't do Splash Mountain. He'll never be able to do anything more intense than BTMR and Splash anyway.

My youngest seems to be falling in the tall category, like his parents. I am not sure of his length but he was 19 lbs in June as a 3 month old! He's wearing 12 month clothing easily and they barely snap.

DD just turned 5 at the beginning of May and is sporting 47 3/4".

DS is 13 mts and is already 36 1/2".

I guess when people say I have tall children, they mean I have "Tall Children."

My son was 2 (almost 3) the first time he rode Soarin' Over California!!! He's loved it ever since!

My son was tall enough & brave enough for Tower of Terror at 2 1/2.

My youngest is about 39 inches at 3 years 2 months.
Not sure about the older 2.

Oldest DD was just over 3 when she hit 40 inches. She'll be 5 in October and is currently 43 1/2 inches tall.

Youngest DD is 2 1/2 and only 35 inches, so far.

My 2 year old (2 years and 8 months) is 37 inches! I want her to be 40 inches SO bad by December, so we can do Soarin as a family...but it most likely won't happen.

I think my DD (now 6) was about 5, or more, before she hit 40" She's now only 43" tall and about 42#. She'll be turning 7 in Sept. Her birthday is on our last day of our trip! :bday:

My DD hit 40 inches at 3 1/2 inches, luckily just in time for her first Disney Trip....now at 6 she is 47 1/2 inches.

My DS was 4yrs old when he was able to ride the 40" rides. He will be 6 at the end of the month. He is about a hair too short of 48". He so wants to ride Prime Evil Whirl!! Yesterday at Six Flags he wanted to ride a 48" ride and he made it! Went on it and loved it... got off to go with me next and the guy said he was not tall enough. :confused3 I siad you JUST let him on with my husband!

So anyways we then told my son he needed to make sure to get enough sleep, and eat healthy before the trip in about 32 days so he can grow for the ride. Tonight he ate ALL his peas, carrots and corn! :rotfl: He usally just has a few bites of them and eats all his meat. :teeth: (gotta love kids)

Well, I have twin 4yo girls (turned 4 beg of June) and one is 38&1/2 " tall and weighs about 31lbs and the other is 41" tall and weighes 33lbs. The smaller one still can easily wear 2t shorts and 3t pants. She is pretty short.

About the rides: I took ds (9yo) on Thunder Mountain and I think the height req is 40" but I don't think I would do it. There was a little boy behind me just screaming that he didn't want to go on it and it does whip you around pretty good. I guess it is all in what you are comfortable in.

My dd was measured last Thursday and she is 38.25 inches. We are traveling in September for her 4th birthday and dh is hoping between a little growth and sneaker height (the measurement was taken without shoes) she will be able to ride Splash Mountain!

We'll see ;)
