I am 39 with 40 breathing down my neck and quite proud! I don't look it, I dont' feel it and I sure don't act it!

But I do confess to remembering a world where there were 3 TV stations and no remote control. I never walked uphill to school but I did suffer the agony of having to get off the couch to change the channel!

I am half fo her age ^. Yes, I'm 12. And I'm happy about it too!

At 33, I'm out to pasture..and I also had to actually get up and go to the TV to change the channel. :rotfl:

You had TV??? you youngins probably had them fancy 8 track tapes too... LOL

What is this!!?? Numbers are numbers therefore ages are ages! It is a silly question to ask how old one is considering someone could have a clocked life of 40 years old and biologically be 16. I consider age to be the number of years you have actually lived meaning, actually LIVING! I don't worry about age and don't plan to, I just want to make sure I make the most of what I've got. I plan to live 100 years even if I am only alive until 90. :teeth:

Now, I am in the 15-31 catergory LOL!!! :rotfl2:

Here's another one to confuse the younger ones. Remember the VHS vs Beta VCR debate? ( No kids, not THAT Beta ;) )

Nope because there was always pong- which was separate from atari- yes I sat for hours on my black and white tv and played a huge game that just had a little square ball bounce back and forth between two lines lol

The time before microwaves... when you had to boil water on the stove and reheat left overs the old fashion way on the stove or in the oven and had to dirty pots

back when computers were awesome if they had like 64 bytes - when there was no windows so no mouse to point and click- and they took up a room to just do some simple math problems lol

back when you had to dial a phone- no push buttons and all the phones sat on a table or if you were fancy you had one that hung on the wall

lol I had old old science books in school and although the moon walk was a few years before this time (but less than a decade) -we laughed becaues it said- "and one day man will walk on the moon"

Calculaters were huge- and when they came out with one that was a "pocket calculater" you still needed a pretty big pocket.

Records- those black disc things played at three speeds for albums, singles and the old 78's... you had to be careful not to mess up the needle or you'd have scratchy sounds... and you could go shop for singles of your favorite songs

I could go on here but this is enough lol- lots of new things- I know my kids are always amazed with the fact that we didnt' have color tv, cable, computers in the house, microwaves, touch tone phones etc... when I was little- and then when my daddy comes out he shares- time without indoor plumbing and more

I had a cool stereo system. It had an 8 track tape, casette tape AND a record player! Don't forget Pong from Sears, wasn't that like THE first at home video game? My parents still have my Atari in their basement. Our first computer was a Commodore 64. Remember when floppies didn't come formatted? gasp.

Hey all remember, this is mainly Dis ppl here and not "true" vmk'ers. Whatever that means :rotfl2: . So the results are going to be a little skewed I believe. Yes i realize there are dis-kids here too ;) .

Ah, yes, I'm an ancient 33....

but my VMK character is who I really am....in my head anyway...younger, thinner and with the purple or blue hair I always wanted!

So nice to be able to wear a tank top and look great!
