How often & where are you checking for FP+ for the Mine Ride and Parade?

My vacation is May 13th through May 20th and I obviously don't have options for either yet. I don't wanna go crazy checking the WDW site daily but not sure exactly the best strategy of where to check and how often to have the best chance of booking FP+s for them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I wonder why is everyone taking a pic of their FP+ choices? Are they not showing up when they are in the park or is just added protection??? I am just guessing but I think that the parades don't open up until 30 days out and with the Mine Train I would be surprise if they have fast pass available for it. I am hoping that they would but since that are "officially" opening it until May 7th - I am guessing that there won't be fast pass until sometime later in the year.

I will be there the same time so I will be looking also and if they have fast pass for the mine train I will definitely be switching my fast passes around.

Facing a similar case with FP for the mine train as our FP window opens before the soft opening of the attraction so I've noted down a list of our FP choices and marked any that we are willing to trade when FP becomes available for it. I wasn't expecting a FP option for the Mine Train until it is actually open.

People are taking screen shots of their FP reservations because the MDE site has frequently experienced glitches and/or been inaccessible at times, so yes, it's for added reassurance

I'm the exact opposite. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a FP+ for it when it opens, or at least soon after it opens.

Also, you don't have to run the app to see your FP+ and reservations. I need a new phone but don't want the hassle yet. I have to carry around a back up battery or my DH is going to have to download the app.

I've been on MDE every day since my 60 day mark and have 2 days specifically I could change things around for both the parade and the Mine Train. If it's open, I'd like to ride it at least 2x. I'd consider myself very fortunate if I could do that for sure.

There is no way to easily view my chosen FP+ selections on MDE though and I have to actually go each selection to see what I chose so I better take pics!

as with most things (like the anna and elsa fastpasses) I just stalk THIS website. seems like someone else is always faster and better than me and I can't thank this board enough. Just stalk this forum and you will know faster than checking yourself!! lol!!

Could be even less. I'm going in early April, and they're not available yet.
