How often should I call MS?

I am currently on 2 wait lists for Nov 5th; however we would take a room at any DVC studio. How often should I call to see if something opens up at a resort that we are not wait listed?

I am currently trying to change some dates for my January trip and have called once or twice a day for the past week. So far, I have received two changes that I wanted. I think it's fun to call to see what is available, but I just got my ownership a week ago so I am sure the novelty will wear off! I think you will have the most luck within 30 days of the dates you want as a lot of people probably wait until the last minute to cancel. At least that is what I have learned from these boards. Still, I can't wait that long.
