How often have you actually gotten your room requests?

Well....maybe $125/night is a drop in the bucket for you, but I definitely don't call that 'budget'. :earseek:

I totally agree with you.

I don't understand the need for some to slam the moderates for having exterior corridors (and equate that to a budget hotel) when you were just asking a question about room requests. The cutesy "good vibes" doesn't take out the sting or intent of the biting words.

You were not asking for anything over the top.

For an "exterior corridor" low-range budget hotel, I wouldn't be so specific. :goodvibes

People request all sorts of things, general and specific when it comes to their rooms and regardless of what "range" resort, whether or not they can be accomodated has little to do with the cost of the resort and a lot to do with the season, how busy the resort is, time of checkin, quantity of people checking out that day opening up a larger variety of rooms, and the list goes on.
I personally think it's silly for you to refer to the moderates (or any WDW resort) as low budget when someone is asking about making requests not your opinion of the resort they chose. People spend good money to go on vacation to WDW-so whenever you are ready you can get your nose out of the air.
FYI-I have always gotten my specific requests on my last 4 visits to WDW which were at those so called "exterior corridor" low-range budget hotels as you call them. I usually request a certain building, non smoking, top floor, near bus stop. How funny-I always get those requests. What a good job those "budget hotels" are doing with requests.

every year we request the bldg and floor we want at the poly, and have gotten it! good luck..

I requested a room at AKL with 2 queens and a daybed, or bunk bed room, because there's no way my 2 teens would share a bed. When we checked in, they said there's no way they had any of those available, and offered us a 2 queen. Well, I said that wasn't acceptable, that my teens were of opposite sexes, and in no way would share a bed. The CM disappeared for a good 20 minutes, and I was getting somewhat frustrated, when she reappeared with an offer of 2 connecting rooms, one with a king, and one with 2 queens! We were ecstatic! With 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, and 2 savannah views, we were more than satisfied.

The only room requests I ever make is for non-smoking. I always let the CM know that our boys have allergies and exposure to smoke can bring on an asthma attack. That's all.

So, for our last trip I was pleasantly surprised to get 2 perfect rooms (IMHO)!!Our first night was at AKL. We were upgraded to savannah view Zebra Trail about 5 minutes from the lobby and close to the pool and restaurants!!! We had an awesome view of Arusha Rock and the animals!!

Our second hotel was the YC. We booked a std view room with an AP rate so I didn't have any expectations concerning this hotel. We were absolutely thrilled with our room. We were on the 4th floor with a perfect view of the marina, Boardwalk, and Epcot fireworks. I spent a lot of time on the balcony just enjoying the view.

We were there June 1st-12th. It was the busy season and both hotels seemed to be close to capacity.

I know we were sprinkled with an incredible amount of pixie dust and I am extremely grateful for our wonderful experience!!!!

What kind of problem did you have that it merited a moderate to deluxe upgrade?

The room was dirty and the mattresses in our adjoining rooms were VERY old and falling apart. This is before they updated the rooms. My husband has lupus and sleeping on the old mattress was causing him pain.

I never request more than a non-smoking room (occasionally a king bed when I travel alone). I've never had a bad room at wdw. I'm not about to let a 'view' or some such nonsense ruin my vacation.

I just booked CR Tower for September, why bother saying I want an MK view (everyone does). I will be happy with whichever side I get, I can watch the sunride over Bay Lake or the sunset over GF either way I'm in one of my favorite hotels in my favorite place :cloud9: . Life's too short to take this stuff so seriously. ;)

Just back from AS Sports. I called 3 days in advance and made 2 requests, in order of preference. 1. Upper floor, 2. Touchdown section. Both were accomodated.

I made request when i booked my room also. A king bad is number. Me and the boyfreind dont want to sleep in different beds. But the question i have is that its my bf's birthday and i let them know of this ,so maybe they can put a balloon in the room or something. does anyone have any experince asking for something refering to a special occasion request???? any info with be appreciated.

I've made requests in the past and luckily have been granted them. Many times we travel during the "off" season when it's not so crowded so it's easier to get what we ask for.

Maybe because we go during valve season and stay at the value resports, but I have been where I wanted ALL three times at Sports~~~
