Just went on to look at our flight times and they have changed 3 hours ahead for the departing flight, and we are losing a good 7 hours on our returning flight :( That stinks!!! I was looking forward to having almost a whole last day at Disney.

Wow 7 hours is even worse than our 5! You poor things! :grouphug:I know and accept that airlines do need to adjust times as flights grow closer, but a few minutes or at most a couple of hours seems reasonable- not these huge changes. Even though the airlines can and do do this, it makes it difficult for us disney lovers- every minute with mickey is precious lol I guess we just got spoiled by sw.( although with their recent price increases I guess we may have to weigh the trade -off between price and time factor in the future ). PS this was our first time booking with jetblue, so it has surely been a learning experience!

Have either of you called JetBlue about the changes? They may be able to get you on other flights that are more to your liking. Their customer service is great!

yes I did, and I won't argue about the customer service it was great. They were willing to switch us to another flight within 24 hr window no extra charge. But customer service was never my concern- it was the extreme change in flight times ( essentially our only choices were early am or early afternoon- all later flights gone!) We did change to the next day, but would have still preferred not to have used up more dvc pts (and another day on meal plan) but it was only way to recoup that lost time ( don't get me wrong, we are thankful that at least we had the time and pts to" spend", :wizard:)

Sorry your flight options were so limited. Glad you were able to work out something. Hope you have a wonderful vacation!:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear that OP. I too have been watching for changes as it happened during my November trip, so expecting it for May too. Mostly because the flights are not even half full and I know they are not going to fly with a half full plane. Their customer service is outstanding and they will work with you. Also, if your flight change is more than 2 hours, they will refund you so you can purchase on another carrier that has better times. We have done that also.

Yes, their customer service is outstanding! :) We were able to change our reservations slightly: (increased our stay by one night) added two more studio nights, and changed our flight to the next day with no extra cost! :) So I am happy! We get that last full day at Disney as planned, but we do have to pay for that extra day on the dining plan. Thanks for the advice and support!!

Great minds think alike-thats exactly what we did. Glad you worked it out. If you don't mind my asking , when are you going in July? We are going in July too and staying at BLT (our first time there, home is BCV). We are cruisin' the Dream first:boat:, so we will be arriving at BLT on the 10th. Would be cool if we happened to bump into each other-lol.:wizard: Here's hoping for better weather here at home soon, so school year doesn't get too much further into June!

The same thing happened to me for our April trip. I had us flying out of Newark at 9pm, but they changed the flight to 2pm, so we are losing a day of school and work that I hadn't planned on. However, I guess it's better to get there earlier than expected than later! I was quite surprised that the 2pm flight was the latest available for now. I'm getting ready to book our November flights and I am wondering what the availability is going to be. I'm hoping they extend their schedule soon -- I'm getting anxious with the rising in gas prices and the anticipated rise in airfares that follows.
