How often do you visit the DISboards?

I'm just curious. It's always interesting to me how often the same questions get asked (like maybe even this one ) but then I wonder how many people log on just to ask one thing and don't really look around.

I usually am on here everyday right before a trip then I may visit 1-2 a month.

From the time I book a trip I'm on here ... and then for a few days after I get back to give input on what I just experienced. Other than that, I get depressed knowing I don't have a trip planned.....

Well...a LOT everyday usually in the PTR areas or the TR areas the most I am fortunate to live very close to WDW and I am also blessed to have a number of Dismeets coming up so yes many many times a day

Before living here I probably did more lurking and really got active before a trip
I try to remember with newer posters they may not know the question has been asked a million times and I do try to be kind, grant a Welcome, and answer questions I ask questions all the time too

When there are 100s of threads about the same thing it does tend to wear on my nerves and I just avoid the area of the board for awhile Its a BIG Disboard many areas

I voted "every day"...but I want to elaborate on it and say "5 days a week" when I'm at work. Sometimes, I check on the weekends, but usually I like to slack off at work by coming on here!!

Ditto! Multiple times a day when I'm planning a trip, and probably daily for awhile after my trip, but then I move onto other things until I'm planning another WDW trip. I may stick around longer this time because I'm really curious to see how all this FP+ hubbub shakes out!

To elaborate on the "same questions asked" part, I remember a moderator on another forum stepping in when vets were kind of mocking a newbie asked a question that had been asked before ("ever heard of the search function?" stuff like that). She said, if newbies didn't come and ask questions, the forums wouldn't be as active and perhaps there is a new answer to a question that has been asked before. Yes, it can be annoying when there are multiple threads on the same topic in the same day, but we should remember that not everyone comes here every day, or is familiar with how forums work, and kindness is always the best route to take in the end.

I thought that was a lovely attitude from someone who has to deal with the forums everyday! I've tried to adopt it myself -- either don't read repeat posts, or politely answer or direct them to another thread.

I don't respond to posts on a daily basis but I definitely do lurk daily. It's a nice little way to end the day after my daughter goes to bed (or as in today's case, I don't have work but she does have Pre-K).

YES!!! Once I return home, I have to stay off DIS otherwise I start jonesing for another trip. There is no way I can visit DIS without a trip planned...it's just too painful!
