  • Only been a few times in my life.

  • We go every 5 years or so.

  • We go every other year.

  • We go every year.

  • We go 2 or more times a year.

  • Kinda depends - I'll explain more below.

I went when I was a baby (or so I'm told by my parents since I obviously don't remember) and then when I was 12 ( Mid 80s) we went to DL and Universal ( still my only trip to universal).

Then I didn't get back for 20 years and that was only because I won two 3
day PH on a radio show and took my then DGF ( Now my DW).

Buy now that we have a DD we have been 3 times as a family in the last 2 years and I am always looking at dates to see when we might be able to make our next trip. We realized we should have bought AP when we went in May since we just went again a few weeks ago but we didn't plan that far ahead. So we will definitely look into APs the next time we decide on a DL trip.,

I know this sounds like a dumb question (I'm headed there next week, it's been about 12 years for me, first time for my little girls) wouldn't you get kinda "bored" with going all the time? I don't think bored is the right word, cause no one gets bored with disney. I just can't imagine going that much!!

If you are a local to So Cal & popping by for a few hours could mean relax, unwind & leave the "REAL world " behind for just a little while then the word BORED definitely is not how you would describe your happy place!
I feel like every time I go I discover something new or different! Also that I never have to go COMMANDO through the PARKS because I'll be back again another day!!!
Some people go to Las Vegas for their happiness why not ANY WHERE DISNEY? We are locals but did not take the time to appreciate what we had in our own backyard so now we are proud DVC owners @ the Villas in Grand Californian as well as Disney's Beach Club in Orlando!! The last 2 years we've had premium AP's for Disneyland but will trade off to WDW AP's for the next few years to come! NO REGRETS for ALL the Disney memories I have shared with my family & friends since we went full force into Disney since 2005!!
We have 2 older sons who usually join us & go alone with their friends but kids or NO KIDS, we would definitely go by ourselves & enjoy OUR time there!
Although we do have another equally important "happy place" to go to that is NOT Disney which is ANYWHERE in Hawaii OR any place with a WARM beach!!!

When I was a kid we did not have the money to go regularly even though I grew up just an hour away. When we did go, it was like Christmas and birthday and Fourth of July all rolled into one. My sister and I could not sleep at all the night before a visit so my mom would often refrain from telling us until the morning of a trip to Dland. It was always a day trip or an evening trip but not all day and into the night. So it is my adult pleasure to now be able to go once a year and to stay for several days on end. I do all the things we couldn't afford when I was little - eating in the restaurants and staying in the hotels and going on the rides I like as many times as I like. It's awesome being a grown up!

I am in WA state. With my family when I was 3, with college friends on a road trip at 19, took BF for a bday suprise when I was 25 and then didn't go again until I was 42 last summer with our own family. We love to travel but can only afford 1 or 2 big trips/yr and we like to experience a variety and expose kids to different adventures as well. It happens that my mom rented a condo for the winter in So CAL this yr and I am taking the kids to visit her and squeezing in a day at DL. So excited that we unexpectedly get to go back.

My wife and I went first in 2006, then again in 2011. We want our next trip to be sooner than another five year gap. We're hoping with my new job 2014 becomes our next chance at a trip to DL. This time we've got a child to introduce to the magic! :-)

When I was a kid, we would go every other year or so for the day. Occasionally on big birthdays we would stay the night and get two days.

When I was a young adult, in college, married with bills and part-time jobs it was about the same, every other year if we could afford it.

Now that I can afford, we have passes because that always seemed like a far-fetched dream to be able to go whenever you wanted. We try to go once a month at least.

We usually go twice a year for at least five or six days each visit  When you live near Seattle you have to take what you can get, due to the distance. :cool1:

I went once as a kid, twice as a teenager and DH and I, of course, spent our honeymoon there when we were 20. Then we didn't go again until 2010 (11 years later) with our kids. We're heading there again in March and can't be more excited! DH got a better job last year and I think this may result in more regular trips. Some people enjoy the beach or travelling to different places... we are totally content to do Disney every year!

When I was a kid we went about every year to every other year...although that was only for 1 day.
My grandparents lived in Santa Monica, so family vacations were visiting them..it was fairly cheap to pack up the car and drive there and then it didn't cost my parents too much once we got there.

Now as an adult, I have been trying to get there every year ish, and I am lucky as my Dh loves Disney and the parks so we are on the same side :thumbsup2

I don't think we are going to get there this year :( as DH is back to school full time and thus isn't working much, and we want to buy a larger home, but you never know...

I would absolutely go all the time if I could. I don't think I could ever get bored. There is so much to do there. My SIL, BIL, and their 3 kids live in LA and go all the time. They go just for the night, or after school for a little bit. Just to watch a show, or grab a bite to eat. I think it would be really fun to be so close to be able to do that. Heck, I would even go there just to shop! :rotfl2:

DO THIS ALL THE TIME & IT NEVER GETS OLD!! :cloud9:

This is the wIfes first time there, and both kids first time, I was there in 2000 before ca opened, it was a tease seeing the coaster and ferris wheel

I have the pleasure of being able to go at least once a week! I love being a passholder and living 15 minutes away :)

We go probably a couple of times of month on average. It depends what's happening with work, how crowded it is, etc. We sometimes go a couple months without going in the really busy season, but then we'll go every weekend for awhile to make up for it. We used to live 15 minutes away and now we live an hour away, so that has made it difficult to go as much and is the reason we're upgrading to Deluxe - we need Saturdays!! :)

We're in our 5th year with APs, and it never gets old! (I actually just posted "It never gets old!" on my Facebook checkin at Disneyland yesterday!) As a PP said, I think it's because you go to Disneyland differently when you have an AP. Sometimes we go for a few hours and mostly walk around, just going on a couple rides. Sometimes we'll focus on Disneyland, sometimes DCA. Sometimes we'll stick to rides with short lines...etc etc. We rarely go for more than a few hours at a time - those 16 hour days before we had passes are over lol. Although we do reminisce about them sometimes... :)

I've been twice; once for my 10th birthday and again in high school {12 years ago, lol}. Cannot wait to take my kids in May!
