How Often Do You Grocery Shop?

Inspired by the how often do you plan your meals thread, how often do you grocery shop. I shop two stores regularly. One store once a month to stock up on canned goods and staples, the other store about twice a week to replenish produce.

Once a week... unless I mess up and forget something.

Like this week, I bought the wrong kind of cheese. So I had to go back and ended up with Ice Cream in my basket as well. I hate when things jump into my basket when I am not looking...

I have lots of food in the fridge and pantry, but I end up in a grocery store almost every day. At least 5 days a week, but it's just to pick up an item or two. I shop for staples maybe 3 times a month.

Every Saturday morning to the grocery store
every other week to Trader Joes for coffee
and 1-2x's a month to Costco for meat

Once per week. Occasionally make a stop for the odd item or two, but usually just the one trip per week.

Once a week... but of course I always forget something on my list and have to make another mini-trip in the middle of the week.

Other. I usually shop every 2 weeks but I'll make quick stops every 2-3 days to get bananas (I'm picky about the ripeness of bananas).

Usually Sunday mornings...if I'm busy then, I'll go Sunday evening or Monday night. The only real supplemental shopping I do would be the bakery outlet, or rarely, Wawa.

I haven't gone grocery shopping in 5 years. DH decided that he wanted to be in charge of the finances and wanted to do the shopping since he felt I spent too much money. I decided to "obey" my husband and he really is so much better at it than I am.

By the way he does one big shopping trip once a week and usually has to stop at least once after that for things that I forgot to put on the list.

Usually every 3rd or 4th day. Especially during summer we eat a ton of salads.

one or two times per month for most things and then hubby will pick up milk and bread or small things ( tonight was lemons) as needed

I voted daily but I really do one big shopping a week and then pick up a few things almost every other day. Seriously.

Usually once a week, and then sometimes if I'm in town I might stop back in to pick up one or two things.

I used to make a Super Wal-Mart run once a month to stock up on staples, but our own Super Wal-Mart just opened up yesterday, finally, so now I don't have to drive so far to get there.

Pretty much 3-4 times a week. I will pick up the bulk of the stuff once a week but we love fresh bread, fresh fruit and vegetables.

I do monthly meal plans - and we shop every other week (my pay check weeks). We do get milk about every week, though.

But we do our Costco and grocery store runs every other week.
