How often do you do laundry?

LOL...actually I don't mind doing laundry....I would rather do that than clean the house...it goes from the washer to the dryer and then my 4 year old and I sit there and fold and put them away...sort of a team effort for now LOL...I know my god kids have been doing their own since they turned 8 and I will probably have Kasey do the same as their mom did so 4 more years and it will be just my own laundry to do!

I do laundry about once every two weeks. What can I say, I'm a college student and I have a TON of clothes!

Hmmm that describes me exactly!!!! ;)

I do it once every week and a half-2 weeks...I don't do it because I need to wear the clothes in the hamper (as CBR said, I have a ton of clothes, don't even know how long I could really go without washing), it is just that any longer than that and they have grown out of the hamper onto the closet floor and are inching their way into my room, making it look messy. When I wash I do 4-5 loads. They are not extremely large, but I am picky about what gets washed with what. I separate into whites, light colors, darks, towels, and sheets. I don't mind the separating and washing part, or even hanging up the clothes I don't put into the dryer (which is a lot, don't want any of my things ruined) it is the folding that I hate...actually the clean clothes might lay around in a laundry basket for the next 2 weeks till I wash again. Today happened to be laundry day for me, so that meant that today I folded and put away the clothing I had washed a week and a half ago (the "new" clean clothes from today are still sitting in the basket on top of the dryer)!! Occasionally when I see my mother I bribe her into folding my clothes for me!! :smooth:

every two to three days

I tend to put off laundry. Although I find it is much better if I do it every day. Practice makes perfect after all. I also believe that laundry done as a team is much more satisfying than laundry done alone. See if your significant other will help and you'll find it is very enjoyable!

I do laundery once a week whether it needs it or not!!

Gee, I am one of the few who do it only once a week. I have always done it that way. We have two teens but only one living at home. I do a load of towels every 3 days and sheets on the weekend but Sun or Mon. I do all the clothes. Usually 7-10 loads in a row. Then I am done for a week!

I do at least 1 load every day. There are 5 of us right now(DS is home from college). My DS does his own laundry on an as needed basis.

Four of us in the family. We do at least 6 loads on the weekend, and probably 2 loads during the week. I remember in college doing 2 loads per week (1 light, 1 dark). Every other week I did a third load to wash my towels and sheets! Laundry is the main thing that I'd be willing to pay someone to do, because it NEVER goes away!

once a week. i would probably do it more except we don't have a washer/dryer in our apartment so it is a major pain.

:p Sorry, I listen to Kidd Kraddick in the morning, and "doing laundry" takes on a whole different meaning. :p
I don't know who Kidd Kraddick but what else could it mean?

I only do it when absolutely necessary.

Is it something that can be shared on a family forum?;) :teeth:

There are four of us here DH, DD (5), DS (1 Month) and myself. Laundry is done everyday. DS has his on load(s). DH, has his shirts, he wears a suit and tie to work every night. DD is in private school and I'm in the Air Force so we both wear a uniform. The washer and dryer are non stop in our house. DH and I hate doing it, we literally fight over it:duck: Just kidding, but it is our least favorite chore. It drives us batty

DAILY

UGGG there are 7 of us, if I miss a day ( which I have been known to do ) :crazy2: Im in huge trouble. Im serious, It starts climbing back up the cellar stairs to get me!!!!

Those of you who do it all in one day amaze me! Just the thought of 6 or more loads in one day makes my head and back hurt! RNMOM, "7-10 loads in a row"? Whew! I could use you around here.

Whew!!! Thanks TINKTWINS, for a minute there I thought I was like the only person who might as well work in a laundrymat, cause that is all I do is laundry.

Minimum 3 loads daily--my laundry "baskets" are outdoor garbage cans--(I am quite serious here)

More daily when blankets, sheets, coats, hats/gloves etc also need to be done.

Average weekly 45-50 loads.

OK everyone stop laughing at me now-----------
