How often do you clean your carpets?

Vacuum almost daily, but a real deep clean every 6 months! We only have carpet upstairs where the kids are but between them and the dogs, honey, every 6 months doesn't seem like enough sometimes!

I usually deep clean my carpet about once a year with my home steam cleaner, while I vacuum regularly. I think annual deep cleaning seems sufficient.
