How often do you check for availability?

I already have a trip planned for July and we are really excited. The family, however, has their heart set on another resort and want me to call as often as possible to see if there have been any changes. We are military so I have to call for the military discount. Should I be calling every single day to see if something opens up? Every week? What do you typically do?

I always checked online a few times daily, but I noticed that for military you always have to call. If that line is not very busy I would still call a couple of times daily, if the resort was real important.

I refreshed the resort page a few times daily and if I saw room availability, I called to see if the room was eligible for the military discount. It never was, unfortunately

I called every couple of days when I wanted to modify a bounceback reservation. If it is important to change your resort, I'd try calling at least every other day (if not every day) if time allows as you never know if/when something will become available. Good luck!

Urgh, tough one.
Calling is a PITA. I despise it.
But, if it's the only way and they are set on trying to find the other resort I'd call once a day.
Though I'd probably just tell my family that they need to adjust to the new spot, LOL
Unless I am the one that wants the other resort more. LOL

AngiTN, me too!! I am on hold right now and despite my love for all Disney tunes, it is not my favorite way to pass the time. I just want the family happy. I know they will be happy where they are, but I would love to possibly split the stay. What a problem to have, eh?

I'd vote once a week. That's what I'm doing for my Disney cruise related phone only check in. Calling every day is more time than I am willing to burn--and more rejection than I am willing to handle

I made a reservation for our Oct. 2019 in May. No military discount at that time. I called every week and finally got the discount in Aug. I also think that some CM’s don’t take the time to check. This year for our stay in May I got the discount on first call. Luck of timing?
