How Often Do The Rental Car Companies Update their Car Selection

How old are the vehicles?
Are they all newer?

The majors are all new models. They rotate them out after a certain amount of miles have accrued on them. I don't remember the figure but I seem to remember about 45000 miles is the tops.

I've rented cars many times from National and never saw a car with more than 25,000 miles. When picking a car in National's lot, I look for low miles if they have a large selection. One time I got a Camry with 100 miles! A few times I got cars with around 1,000 miles. There's always something special about driving a new car!

Hertz usually is 25,000 when they take them out of the program. It is ongoing and I have had many Hertz cars with less than 10 miles on them.
