How often can you transfer points?

I'm interested in renting or transfering points and I'm just trying to do some homework.

I read somewhere that you can only transfer points once a year. Is this correct? Would that be one transfer to the same person once a year or can you transfer to multiple members in the same year?

I have VWL and BWV points and I'm trying to figure out if I need to get rid of them in one bunch or if I can rent / transfer smaller blocks to multiple people throughout the year.
Do I need to rent / transfer the VWL and BWV seperately?

I working on a 2005 cruise and don't think I have enough points, so I'm looking at the cash option.

The current rules is as many times as you wish in ONE DIRECTION per use year. I think most people who rent do so by just making the reservations in the other parties name rather than transfering. If you transfer, you should get full payment up front to protect yourself.

Another question about transferring...can you bank transferred points. For example, if another DVC member transfers some of their current-use-year points into my account can I bank them into the next year like I can with my own points?

Transferred points are bankable. What I don't know is how they handle it if it's not your own use year and if/how they count those numbers for your banking totals.

Is there any chapter and verse that I can refer to re: transferring points.

I talked to MS a few weeks ago and was told that you could make unlimited reservations for "guests" however, there is a limit of 1 "transfer of points" out of your a/c per year.

Posts here would indicate that the one per year that I was told is not correct.

The POS is the bible and the latest ones have the info in it. Multisite POS dated 7/03 page 43, II.6 1-11 says in essence that both members must be in good standing, only current use years points (meaning not banked or borrowed) and IN or OUT. There is no restriction on how many though this is a change from a few years ago.

I called yesterday and asked this same question. I was told only one transfer in or one transfer out per use year. Who can I talk to or where can I go to get the correct answer? Can I receive points into my account twice in the same use year from the same member?

Talk to a supervisor, you are likely getting someone that's been there long enough to remember the wrong answer.
