How noisy is T-Rex?

We are going in Nov. and I am starting to think about ADRs. DS will be 4 1/2 when we go. Last June, when he was just barely 3, we took him to Rainforest Cafe at AK, thinking that would be perfect entertainment for a little guy. He hated it (quote, in an exasperated 3-year-old voice: "Mommy, what are those monkeys saying??!?!?") So, I'm wondering if T-Rex is basically the same. He likes dinos, but I think we can live without a massive rainforest-style cacophony every 15 minutes.

well at trex there's a meteor shower in the ice room every 15 minutes. its kinda like a roar. its best to check it out on youtube. but im thinking if he didnt like rainforest then im not sure he will like trex. although if you DO NOT sit inside the iceroom he might be ok.

depending on where you sit is going to depend on how loud it is... no matter where you sit you will hear it but one year we were seated in the water room that is not what it is called but its got the bar and aquariums were and it wasnt as loud

Was he upset he couldn't understand the animals, or was it the noise? Plus kids change as they get older. My ds's first experience with the Rainforest Cafe was bad. He was terrified the whole time. But once he got older he liked it. He really enjoyed T-Rex, too. It is LOUD, but the kind of loud kids usually like.

Is the T-Rex restaurant now on the DDP? What other ones were added at DTD?

Here is a video of the restaurant. Films a little outside, and during the Meteor shower. I can't wait to eat here but it definitely seems as loud as Rainforest Cafe!

Way loud. Louder than Rainforest. If he didn't like the every 15 minute thunderstorm at RFC, he probably won't like the every 15 minute meteor shower at TRex. It's pretty much the same thing, but with dinos shrieking instead of monkeys.
