kkheburn, if you go through entertainment.com for their rate, you won't be seeing the rate we all refer to as the HoJo Entertainment Book rate (or variations of that).
The way to possibly get of the most excellent, only Anaheim HoJo, Entertainment Book rate is to call the 714 number for HJ during pacific time business hours and ask for "in house reservations". Well there's a way through hojoanaheim.com too but it doesn't always work and isn't as easy as calling.
You can find a list (that is updated when new dates come out) of the dates when it's applicable
here.
*******
But anyway, you were asking what your whole trip would cost, right? Not the hotel, since you already found DI for 272.
When we stayed in May we got hojo's ent book rate and the total (including tax) divided to 67.85 a night. Yours divides to 90.85, so it might not be worth the constant checking (to see if they added your dates) for HJ, and DI is about 5 minutes closer to the park, so that's nice.
Since you already got the hotel, you're not looking at a package deal. So you can get the tickets online at
disneyland.com, or if your trip will involve two park days on days when Magic Mornings are offered (Sat, Sun, Tues, Thurs) then you might want to get 3 day hoppers from Getawaytoday.com, b/c you get two days of MM with those tix.
But if you only want 2 day hoppers and you're staying off site, you won't get MM days at all, so I personally would just buy the tickets in advance from disneyland.com, printing an e-ticket and turning that in at the gates for a "real" ticket.
Check out menus (not always totally up to date, so don't take as gospel, but rather as good guidelines) through the menu links at
allears. That will give you a good idea of the cost of food. Know that often meals are big and can be shared, depending on how hungry everyone is and how much you normally eat. Adults can get kids meals at counter service places, and that's been a nice alternative for us! We love the pasta penne kid's meal at Plaza Inn, and the bean/cheese burrito kid's meal at Rancho del Zocalo and Cocina Cucamonga.
Also be aware of the restaurants nearby! There's a Quiznos right across on Harbor, on the hotel side. There's Mimi's and Millie's a few minutes' walk from DI. We got a terrific dish of macaroni and cheese (more gourmet than Kraft), garlic bread, and a monster salad, for about 12 bucks! It fed a HUNGRY 4 year old and two semi hungry adults, late in the evening. Yum.
The biggest wild card is going to be souvenirs. But if you can think of things you want already, check out disneyshopping.com to see if those things are available ahead of time. The price will generally be better there. When we went in December, there were Ratatouille toy sets at EnginEars for almost $30. We got home, thought about them for awhile, then I checked disneyshopping. Because by that time the movie was waning, I got them for 9.99 each. And a whole bunch of Ratatouille characters in various sizes for almost nothing. Sometimes there stuff is pricey, but other times you can get really good deals. There's also the Disney Character Warehouse (
coupon and address info here) for "maybe they'll have good stuff, maybe not" purchases.
Hope that helps, even though I couldn't just flat out say "it's going to cost $x".
