how much weight should I put on wishing for a THV?

So I am on a waitlist for a THV the last week of August -- in reality though how realistic do you think it will be that I'll get it?

I would think that if they declare the other half (30) before your reservation date that you should have a good chance.

I have been very interested in them also, and I too am hoping some will be available at the 7 month window sometime. I thought all THV were opening at the same time.

My understanding is that they are all opening at the same time, but that only half of them have been declared. So the other half are probably being rented for cash.

It's certainly possible that more will be declared before the end of August, but it will depend on how well Disney is doing selling SSR points. With all the contracts available for SSR these days, it makes me wonder why (if) anyone is buying directly from Disney. Sounds like many of the resales are getting through well below Disney's price these days.

When we bought SSR we didn't know anything about buying other people's points. I would guess there are still a lot of people out there that think Disney is the only one selling contracts. I hope people keeping buying BLT too since I want to stay there and want a lot of declared inventory.
