How much use can a MB actually take?

I have the mentality of a small child and I like my pink MB. I have used the same band for 2 trips now (Sept 2013 and May 2014). We are doing a split stay next month. Should I order another pink band so I know it will work or should my current pink band keep kickin for at least 10 more Disney days? I "need" my pink band, but I want to add other colors to my collection

In adult terms, what is the current lifespan of the battery of a magic band?

I've heard it should last about 2 years.

I would order a new one.....I'm now working on two of every color since I like to switch them up.
