I can't seem to get a definite answer on this from anybody, including the disneyland ticket office. I'm hoping someone who has done it recently can please tell me:

Exactly how much would it cost to upgrade the 3-day parkhopper that comes with Citypass to 6 days? :confused3

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Hi there,
The value you will receive towards upgrading your CityPASS 3-day park hopper ticket to another ticket of equal or greater value is:

Adults (10+): $186
Children (3-9): $165

This is for 2011 and may change next year.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info!

So just to clarify, when you upgrade do you have to pay full gate price on the ticket you're upgrading to? In other words: to upgrade an adult CityPass to 6 days would cost $70? ($256 gate price on 6-day hopper minus the $186 credit?)

If that's the case, I think I'm better off just buying a 6-day hopper and a Universal/Seaworld combo ticket. (I don't plan on going to the zoo or safari)

CityPass + 6-day upgrade = $276 + $70 = $346
6-day hopper + Univ/SW combo = $216 + $119 = $335

Can anybody tell me if this is correct? I was hoping to save some money with CityPass, but it's not looking too promising...

Yes, if you choose to upgrade at the parks, you will have to pay the difference between what you paid (or in this case the value that will be applied) and the full ticket price at the gates, so you are correct that you will have to pay $70 to upgrade.

ND Disney Daddy, sorry I didn't see your response last week! Yes, the credit from your CityPASS is good towards the gate price of whatever you would want to upgrade to.
