How much to tip...for mousekeeping?

How much do you tip? What determines how much you tip?

Disney housekeepers are non-tipped employees. We don't tip them.

Many people tip the mousekeepers. I for one, and being just me I tip $2 a day. A lot of people usually tip $1 per person a day. And they do it daily, as the mousekeepers may change.

We also tip $5 per day and put them in the Mousekeeping envelopes I make with Disney Print Arist...just one of my many "jobs" to do to prepare for the trip!!

I tipped daily and the tip varies on the service. We had one mousekeeper when I stayed at the Polynesian that was awesome. My daughter was two and she set up things around the room for her everyday (her new mickey reading a book, lounging in a "swing" made from the leis and a towel, cute washcloth animals.... Our last day we gave her an extra tip and my daughter insisted on taking a picture with her!

My family of 4 tipped $5 per day. We had a great housekeeper and she did a great job daily.

We decided to tip because we think they get paid squat and for the fact that we are very messy sometimes. If we would have had less than clean rooms, we might not have tipped anything, but the room was always in perfect order when we returned.

I tipped $10.00 the last day and $3.00 for trash and towel at the DVC Beach Club. I tipped the last day because I knew the mousekeeper that would be doing the biggest amount of cleaning would get the tip. I didn't tip the full cleaning day, mostly because I forgot.

$4 a day for our family of 4...we were there for eight nights and I felt they worked hard to keep up with us messy folks!! Actually I did tidy up each morning or they wouldn't have seen the floor to vacuum! I think they did an awesome job at POFQ and maybe the tips helped? I felt it was the right thing to do and I also usually tip at other hotels, but admittedly not as much. Have a great trip!

Always tip mousekeeping daily. Leave money in envelopes made with disney graphics (created my own this time...) each day, along with any special requests we might have.
We tip 4 or 5 dollars per day for our family of 4....prepared the envelopes before leaving home. Always feel the staff does a great job and I appreciate their efforts.

I tipped between $3 and $5 per day for our family of 4. I tipped a little more on the first day and received great service. The only reason I left less than $4 is because I didn't have change one day. ANY tip is appreciated.
