I'm wondering what others are doing. Currently we are tipping $3 if Bell Services drops off or picks up our OL from our room (e.g. BWV) and $2 at SSR or OKW when we pick up or drop off our locker at the Bell desk. Is that close to what others are doing? I don't want to short change anyone.

I would think it would be the same as any other luggage piece. I had not really thought of it.

OwnersLocker is a service for us to store personal items between trips. They provide a large storage box and provide pickup/delivery service, storing the locked in climate controlled facilities between trips.

In ours, we have clothing, detergent, pizza pan, salt/pepper, napkins, lots of things difficult to take on a plane (lotions, gels, nail file, etc.) and several bottles of wine.

Enjoy! :)

I would not expect bell service to come to my room for less than $5.00 if that's all they bring. If they bring more I tip accordingly..

I do $5, but our locker is stuffed and I'm sure it's pretty heavy!

I tip separately for other luggage but my OL is also pretty heavy so maybe I had better up the ante a bit. $3 does sound pretty cheapskate, I guess.

I just wanted to say "Thank you"! We've been DVC members for 11 yrs and HGVC members for 6 yrs and have never heard of an OwnersLocker until recently. It's not until reading your post did we fully understand what it meant and boy are we excited!! :yay:
This is something that can definitely help with the "stresses" of packing.
Thanks again!! :woohoo:

What a great post!! Not only do we now know what an Owner's Locker is, but we'll also have an idea on how much to tip, should we get one. Thanks! :)

Jean,
We didn't think too much about it the first trip. But on our next trip, where we did carry on, we realized we only needed bell services to pick up the locker and felt strange having them come for that alone. OL changes the way you deal with travel and it's a learning process, I guess!

BTW, you're not cheap-if you were you wouldn't even be asking the question! :)

Thanks, Pixie. I am so glad to have the DIS. Next trip I will feel better about my tipping. DH says I worry about these little things too much. He's right, of course, but I'm only admitting that to you DISers, not him! ;)
