does anyone know around how much it costs to sell?a certain % of the sale maybe?

From the previous posts I read, it looks like it's a minimum of 10% if a broker is used. Don't use this as negotiations on a resale if you are looking to buy, as ROFR is really what maintains the selling price. I found out first-hand that you can't get the seller to take a much lower price because there is no broker involved... DVC will just buy it back. Don't know if that's why you were asking -- but just in case.

When we sold ours a few years back, the going commission for a couple of the well-known resale brokers was 10% with a minimum of $1,500 charged to the seller. The buyer usually paid closing costs of $450 and up (commonly $500-$600). Don't know if the commission has come down with increased competition between brokers or gone up with inflation. We opted to sell on our own, using a title company to handle the contracts once we had our buyer so we paid no commission. But our price was very reasonable and the buyer paid a very fair closing cost (~$450). HTH.
