How much to allot for extras?

For a 3 night cruise, how much are we talking with the extras? I'm trying to stock up on gift cards but don't want to overbuy.

*We don't plan on doing any excursions
*No kids under 3
*Maybe brunch at Palo
*Some drinking - I will be sticking with the drink of the day and H will get a beer glass

What about souvenirs? Smoothies for kids? Gratuities?

Not sure how minimal you want to go, you could easily do $200. Maybe you have an interest to have an on board booking for a future cruise?

Even if you get off the ship, maybe you want to dine while on the local island?

Just my thoughts, well rather questions and thinking outside the box.

We were on a 7 night. Our excursions were gifted to us, each of us were gifted a $25 gift card that my kids bought souvenirs with and DH bought a couple of beers with, we brought of most of our alcohol, and our room credit covered BBB. We didn't dine at any up charge restaurants, so our total bill was mainly tips, a couple of bottles of water and that was it, around $400 (4 of us with 7 days of tips).

Thanks for making me think out of the box. Depending on how the cruise goes (in my husbands opinion), I hope to book while onboard. We can use gift cards for that as well?

We will not be getting off the ship at Nassau and our only other stop is Castaway Cay so no dining at the ports that we would need to pay for.

The gratuities I'm budgeting $144 for tips for servers and stateroom.

There will probably be some souvenirs or smoothies bought but not too many as my kids have some dietary restrictions.

How much you spend onboard really just depends on your own needs/wants/spending habits. You can spend nothing extra (if you pre-paid tips)... or you can spend $1000 or more.
