How much time to return a car?

We are planning on doing a split stay in August, half off site and half on site. We want to rent a car for the off site portion of our stay and return it to the car care center on the day we switch to on site. My question is, how long do you think it will take to drop off the car and get a shuttle back to Pop Century? We don't want to waste too much of a day in the transfer. I'm thinking one of us will check in at Pop (and unload luggage if room is ready) while the other one drops off the car, and hopefully be done at close to the same time. Wishful thinking?

Truly can't be predicted with any amount of accuracy. You won't know who may be on line before you and how long they will take.

I'd budget about an hour, but that could be too much time, or too little.

The idea of sharing the tasks, one check in while the other drops off is good.
